Äva Berlin is a published writer and consultant on art projects. She consults part-time as the Director of Business and Curator at NGNM, a creative agency specializing in the implementation of strategic concepts. In her work, she brings artists and brands, who are exceptional in their field, to a well of high-growth opportunities. 

Prior, Äva was the Senior Director at SZ Advisory, an international art consultancy firm with offices in Zürich, London and Los Angeles. The firm thrives serving private collectors as well as corporate clients. The team at SZ Advisory guides private clients through the process of art procurement using tailored consultations, site and studio visits, private viewings, gallery tours, and auctions worldwide.  

Around 2012, in Downtown Los Angeles, she co-founded a private event space  alongside Ben Lee Ritchie Handler (Global Director, Nicodim Gallery) from where she partnered on memorable events and art happenings with Gagosian, CultureWorks, Soho House & Co., the LA Art Book Fair, Piero Golia's Chalet, EDITION Hotels, Frieze, Condé Nast, Ace Hotel Group among others. Through her work with art venues and in nightlife, she’s responsible for creating over 600 unforgettable nights for crowds in Los Angeles, San Francisco and New York.  

Äva established her career in the art world as the Gallery Manager for the San Francisco Arts Commission, managing three galleries in San Francisco City Hall, the War Memorial Building and the Arts Commission Building. She’s spent brief stints living in Europe, South America and Central America and divided her time between California and New York for nearly a decade.  She is now based in New York.
